On behalf of myself and my family I am so grateful at 99 years of age for Holly and Tanya and their company “ Comforts of Home”. It was 8 years ago that they came into our lives like warm sunshine! My late husband Fred needed care and support to be able to stay at home and since I broke my hip two years ago I have needed their help and patient encouragement to stay at home. The feeling of independence and the peace of mind it gives me is so great. My family and I are sincerely appreciative to the girls and their company. They are exceptional caregivers.

Living at a distance from my visually-impaired, elderly brother is difficult, but once I found Holly and contracted her to help, my brother's quality of life improved greatly. Holly visited him twice a week, and he looked forward to every one of those visits, her ability to connect with him was amazing. Not only did her visits cheer him up, she took him grocery shopping, for haircuts, to the bank, or wherever he needed to go. And she also washed his sheets and made his bed, and quite often they would enjoy an egg salad sandwich together, which he really appreciated. Holly went above and beyond to secure a perfect care home placement for him when he could no longer live alone, and still makes time to stop in and see him. She was and continues to be excellent at communicating with me if she has any concerns about his well-being. I would highly recommend Holly and her caregivers!

I really do not know where to start to say how much Comforts of Home, Tanya, has meant to our family. If it wasn't for this business my Mom would have been in a Nursing Home 3 years ago. That is when Tanya stepped in to help my Mom succeed in her own home. She did the things that government funded Home Care will not provide. If I was away I could call Tanya to check on my Mom when she wasn't answering her phone and she was there to do that. She also assisted taking her to the ER after a fall. Not only does she provide physical care but what I think is even more important, she provides companionship to my Mom. When our daughter got married last year she brought my Mom to the wedding so we wouldn't have to worry if Mom was ok, etc. She looks forward to Tanya's visit. I often tease her that she's my Mom's favourite daughter.
